Hi, I’m Augustine 👋 I’m an engineer by training who fell for finance, and now I spend way too much time wondering how things make money.
My path here took a few turns: engineering school in Nigeria, banking and audit in Lagos, an MBA in St. Louis, and now Seattle. Every stop taught me to look at a business a little differently, and they all left me with the same habit: checking whether the numbers actually back up the story.
I built this site as my playground: somewhere to think out loud, share models and valuations, and hopefully learn from people who see things differently.

- 📊 Valuation & modeling: DCFs, IPOs and “is this actually worth it?” questions
- ☁️ Product finance: pricing, unit economics and how tech products really make money
- 🐍 Python & SQL: pulling data, automating the boring bits and building models beyond Excel (some of the code lives on GitHub)
- 🤖 AI & LLMs: what they mean for finance, and my own experiments using them to analyze faster and think better
Off the spreadsheet
⚽ Soccer
Team captain, so I’m the one yelling “switch it!” in a very calm, strategic way. The beautiful game taught me more about teamwork than any leadership course.
🎾 Tennis
My favorite way to lose gracefully. It’s basically a live lesson in managing downside risk, one double fault at a time.
🏃🏾 Running 10Ks
Where the best ideas show up. Somewhere around kilometer seven, most of my models make a lot more sense.
🎮 FIFA
Career mode is basically financial modeling with better graphics. Wage budgets, transfer fees, scouting young talent: I’m in my element.
📚 Reading & short stories
I read everything from business books to fiction, and I write short stories when numbers can’t say what I’m thinking. Some of them end up here.
🏎️ F1, 📷 photos & giving back
Sundays mean Formula 1, weekends mean a camera out in nature, and whenever I can I volunteer with young people, because someone once did that for me.
